THE GRAMMY AWARDS 2025: A FASHION REVIEW

The Best Dressed at the 2025 Grammy Awards

The 67th Annual Grammy Awards returned to Los Angeles’ Crypto.com arena on Sunday evening. Whilst of course an event to celebrate the music industry, there was a slew of fabulous fashion moments as celebrities graced the red carpet dressed in outfits from designers such as Vivenne Westwood, Jean Paul Gaultier and JW Anderson.

Lucy May Ashburner rounds up the most show-stopping outfits of the evening.

Sabrina Carpenter

The Espresso singer wowed with a memorable showgirl-esque  performance as she took home her first ever Grammy for Pop Vocal Album and Pop Solo Performance. Prior to this, she stunned on the red carpet in a custom, baby blue JW Anderson gown and Chopard jewellery. Featuring two dramatic feather trims, an open back and a pearl halter neck, Carpenter entirely embodied the old Hollywood vibe and established herself as one of the best dressed of the evening.

Troye Sivan

Whilst Sivan lost out to his Sweat Tour partner Charli XCX for the Best Dance Pop Recording award, he certainly brightened up the red carpet in a sheer organza suit by Prada. The pastel purple made a much-welcomed contrast from the classic black tuxedo we often see men sporting at such events, with his silk monogrammed scarf and David Yurman brooch adding the perfect finishing touch to the look.

Jaden and Willow Smith

The siblings undeniably turned heads in equal measure with two experimental, yet chic looks. Jaden kept it classic with a Louis Vuitton tuxedo but added a daring headpiece by Abodi in the style of a Transylvanian castle, which provoked many a conversation online. Meanwhile, Willow offered her take on the underwear- as -outwear trend with a bedazzled bustier and briefs set by Fleur du Mal, which she paired elegantly with an elongated tailored McQueen jacket and Versace platform pumps.

Chappell Roan

It was a successful evening for the first time Grammy nominee, as Roan took home the award for Best New Artist in a stacked category. Additionally, her avant-garde red-carpet look re-established her as nothing less than a fashion icon, as she stunned in a vintage  Jean Paul Gaultier gown, constructed from pale blue and yellow tulle, featuring an illustration of Edgar Degas’s Dancer with a Bouquet. She rounded out the look in dramatic fashion with a pair of lace up leather boots by John Fluevog, a fringe headpiece and sheer, fingerless opera gloves.

Beyoncé

On her fifth time being nominated, Beyoncé finally took home the coveted Album of the Year award for Cowboy Carter – and she did so in style. Whilst she skipped the red carpet, it would be wrong not to include her custom gold bodycon gown by Schiaparelli on this list. With white embroidery details, nodding towards a western style paisley bandana, and matching opera gloves, the show-stopping look was perfectly on theme for her award winning album.

Shaboozey

With five nominations under his belt, Shaboozey rocked the red carpet with another interesting menswear moment. Decked out in Diesel with a metallic-style grey houndstooth jacket featuring a long fringed shawl, and David Yurman diamonds, the Tipsey singer reminded us that men are no longer confined to dull fashion moments.

Taylor Swift

Whilst arguably one of  the biggest artists of 2024, Swift walked away empty handed, but her red carpet moment certainly hit the headlines. Opting for custom Vivienne Westwood, she stunned in a red corseted mini dress which perfectly matched her classic red lip. A ‘T’ charm by Lorraine Schwartz on her upper thigh completed the look, with fans speculating it maybe a reference to her boyfriend Travis Kelce, who is playing in the Superbowl next week.

Cardi B

Rounding out the list is Cardi B – an artist who consistently wows photographers with her red carpet moments. She opted for a custom Roberto Cavalli mermaid style gown, with hand embroidered sequins and beads reflecting the pattern of a tiger’s stripes. The dress fell into a feathered train, rounding out the old Hollywood inspired look in dramatic fashion.
