MITHRIDATE: LFW FALL 24

Mithridate Autumn Winter 2024

by Sophie Bushnell

Mithridate showed their latest Autumn Winter collection in Guildhall on Friday 16th February during London Fashion Week. Guests flocked down into the medieval Crypts of London, including actors Kelly Rutherford and Andrew Scott among many other fashionable attendees. The brand curated a bold ambiance within this atmospheric venue, spectacularly framed by arched ceilings engraved with shields and flowers.

Mithridate is armour for the free-spirited. The brand aims to epitomize individuality, encouraging wearers to express their true selves with confidence. Offering protection and empowerment through its exquisite craftsmanship and avant-garde designs. By honouring a philosophy of dressing from within, garments serve as extensions of the creative soul leading to timeless and genuine creations.

The show starts as the doors firmly close, and the harpist begins playing. Dynamic music joins in the background as the first model emerges. Models float through the crypt intertwining their paths, blissfully bringing together the otherwise juxtaposed bright colours, vibrant music, and interesting textures against the softness of the floral scent, and calm walls.

This breath-taking collection unfolds taking the audience on an empowering journey through each look. From start to finish excellent craftsmanship shines through the earth tones and vibrant prints, channelling Mother Nature’s charm with a touch of futuristic coolness hinting at celestial inspiration.

Mithridate is a brand where bold maximalism reigns, so flashes of gold, silver, and light shine through layers of fabric to illuminate the runway and bright glimmering boots made to show off the wearer’s creative confidence are worn with each look. Bright and bold co-ord sets as well as opulent dresses emphasize the unapologetic attitude the brand encourages through fashion.

This collection celebrates the beauty of authenticity and self-discovery, inviting wearers to embrace their individuality with confidence and splendour. Mithridate have created a community where boundaries are meant to be broken, and fashion continues to become a medium for liberation and self-discovery.
